'Thakurani Mahayogini Shyama' Panna Majithia

‘Thakurani Mahayogini Shyama’ Panna Majithia from Surrey, BC.

I joined the YICC course in March 2020. I gained understanding on the incredible and vast knowledge of Yoga. I learnt what Yoga is and what Yoga is not. The course familiarized me with the six schools of Philosophy, the scriptures (Bhagvad Gita, Vedas, Upanishads, Samhitas etc.) and their significance. It also taught me about Indian culture and its foundation.

Learning about the application of yoga in various fields and walks of life has enabled me to lead a life full of peace, contentment and harmony. The morning asanas are bliss supreme! As I’m into natural healing, I’m looking forward to introducing Yoga to the general public to promote positive health. My pranaams and gratitude to Dr. Swami Satya Prakash and Yogashri Satyam Dr. Preeti, not only for making this course so engaging and providing us with the invaluable knowledge, but also for being so flexible and accommodating. The Sanskrit verses and the devotional songs by Swamiji kept us super occupied!

I would also like to thank the Vyasa headquarters in Bangalore-India for making this beautiful course available to us.

What sets this Yoga course apart from any other course are the instructors and spiritual content. Yogashri Satyam Dr. Preeti has an in-depth knowledge of all aspect of Yoga and is very accessible by phone, text or email. In-depth discussion on spirituality and the different streams of Yoga with the acclaimed Yogic master Dr. Swami Satya Parkash is priceless.

Being associated with the Vyasa headquarters in Bangalore-India gives you access to wealth of information. Regardless of whether you are new to Yoga like myself or been practicing Yoga for many years, I strongly recommend this Yoga course.

'Vedangi Pragya' Renu Sharma

‘Vedangi Pragya’ Renu Sharma from Burnaby, BC.

I had a privilege to meet Guruji Dr. Nagendra, Dr. Manjunath and the rest of the team from Vyasa headquarters in Bangalore in November 2019. After listening to Guruji and Dr. Manjunath’s lectures on Yoga research, I was overwhelmed to a great extent. I couldn’t wait to start learning Yoga from Vyasa university. In March 2020, I received an e-mail from Dr. Preeti about starting the course. I joined in 3 weeks after it had already started. I got so excited to get my books from Yogashri Satyam Dr. Preeti.

Once I reached home I opened up my books. The syllabus of the course nicely outlined with plenty of topics. Thank you Lord for bringing Authentic Indian Yoga right to my doorstep in Canada. Covid lockdown did wonders for me to stay connected even at home with Dr. Preeti and the most respectable Dr. Swami Satya Prakash through Zoom. I started the class and I never knew what Gita had to do with Yoga. Gita is Yoga, our great teachers Dr. Preeti and Dr. Swami Satya Prakash worked so hard to engrave teachings of Gita verses with harmony and patience in our brains.

I learnt so much about my self through Raja, Guyana, Bhakti and Karma yoga. I understood how important Gita is to prepare us and transform us in learning Yoga. I also learnt about Patanjali, Vyasa, Ramakrishna, Sharda Maa and Vivekananda especially about Adi Shankracharya. Adi Shankracharya’ prayers and stotras are important part of my daily chanting now. Love it, adhore it and bow down to it. Terminology used in Yoga books is very Vedic and cosmic. I was raised in Vedic India with no knowledge of Vedas. I wish Vedic chants were part of my schooling as well.

All I have learnt in my Yoga Vyasa class has already taken me to another levels of life in general. I admire the hard work and dedication of Preeti ji and Swami ji for teaching Yoga theory and Practicals. I am so grateful I was picked by the universe to learn Yoga in authentic way. I find this course as a stepping stone to indulge myself in next part of my journey. I got to learn Pranayama, Meditation, Asanas, prayers and also got to know views of every yogi and yogini on every project to enhance the knowledge even further.

Best of All I am grateful to Yoga class for giving me my newly brewed spiritual name Vedangi Pragya. Swamiji thank you for picking this name.

Thank you!

Vedangi didi got me initiated in Vyasa yoga. It has changed my life for the better or even best. I feel privileged to be part of such a stimulating and open group. Practical yoga morning classes are an added bliss.

Recitations, explanations and applications in everyday contemporary life – put forth by our dearest and respected Dr. Swami Satya Prakash and Dr. Preeti Misra are indeed appropriate and much appreciated. My body started feeling the changes from day 1 as did my mind.

'Bhogeshpriya' Eleen Naicker

‘Bhogeshpriya’ Eleen Naicker from Delta, BC.

Born in Fiji Islands, we faced a lot of difficulties growing up. I learnt my ancestors were born in India and brought to Fiji under Indentured Labour System. Life presented a lot of struggles and going through all these experiences, I always had these questions in my mind – “Why Me? Why Was I born in this World? Who created this Universe? Why Do We Lose Our Loved Ones to Death?” All these questions have always boggled my mind. Though I had a religious background, being brought up with prayers and rituals, I was still a lost soul.

I am blessed to have become a YICC-Vyasa Canada student, to have the best guidance and support from our Guruji’s – Dr Swami Satya Prakash, Dr Preeti Misra and Dr H. R. Nagendra.

Learning all the concepts of yoga – Jnana, Raja, Bhakti and Karma Yoga has answered all those questions and taught me my purpose in life. I have learnt to put all these practices in my daily life which has changed me immensely. I am full of energy, purpose and immense peace. I sleep better and wake up rejuvenated ready to face another day.

I would recommend joining YICC course to all those struggling with daily challenges in life. To have a healthy, happy life with inner peace. To unite your individual consciousness with the Universal consciousness is Yoga.

Om Peace Peace Peace.

I enrolled into Vyasa Canada “Yoga Instructors Certification Course” because of how unique and it’s one of its kind school with teachers like Dr. Swami Satya Prakash and Dr. Preeti Mishra, who are both working in harmony to give their utmost divided attention to help us excel in the study of understanding the science of Yoga and its roots.

In this class, we are introduced to the teaching of Yoga Sutra of Patanjali, meditation, mantras, mudras, 4 streams of Yoga from the book of Bhagavad Gita that applies directly to Yoga, Kriya practices, Pranayama, cyclic meditation, inner spirituality, self-awareness, diet & Yoga.

Dr. Swami Satya Prakash is teaching us the benefits of understanding Karma yoga, Bhakti yoga, Jnana yoga, Raja yoga values and it meaning from the book of Bhagavad Gita. Swami Ji has also introduced us to the benefits of devotional musical songs and its healing elements and how to sing from the heart Chakra. His dedication and interest in Yoga helped me grow in my understanding of Yoga in my daily life.

Dr. Preeti Misra has an amazing intuitive sense that helps her understand each one of her student’s needs and their goals in life. She is very understanding and works in the student’s best interest at all times. Her research in Yoga Science and Studies helped me benefit from her exceptional style of teaching and the method of practicing Asanas. She not only taught the class but also keeps the group motivated at all times.

In this class, we are provided theory and practical workbooks that has helped me stay very focused and interested in the study of Yoga and its benefits.

Dr. Swami Satya Prakash and Dr. Preeti Mishra’s only interest is the interest of the student and Yoga is their passion. Because of these teachers and their example of living a yogic lifestyle, I joined Yvasa Canada and I will definitely take my Yoga studies to the next level.

I strongly encourage and recommend the Vyasa Canada YIC program to anyone who is interested in becoming a successful Yoga instructor.

After years of enjoying the physical and emotional benefits of Yoga, I had a burning desire to take my experience to the next level. I investigated several YIC options and after a single conversation with Dr. Preeti and Dr. Satya Prakash, I sensed a rare authenticity and I knew I had found the right YICC instructor and a Guru for me.

Vyasa Canada’s Yoga Instructor Certification Course is a very unique course. Our primary guides and educators Dr. Swami Satya Prakash and Dr. Preeti Mishra are gifted scholars and yogis with a deep understanding of authentic yogic traditions. They are invested in making sure all students have the confidence, right knowledge, understanding and the practical experience to make certain the authenticity and lessons of the traditional yoga philosophy are preserved and taught with dedication and integrity.

Learning the yoga lessons from the Bhagavad Gita, practicing the mudras, kriyas, asanas, pranayama, prayers, mantras and meditation has helped enable personal growth, self-awareness and an awakening of spiritual understanding in me. I am thirsty for more.

Regardless of how much yoga exposure you have, very little, or years of experience, If you want to learn and experience authentic, traditional yoga from embodied, devoted yogis, I highly recommend this course. It is so much more that the ‘asanas’ and breathing exercises; it is a wonderful journey of self-exploration, self-discovery and self-transformation.
